Terms of Service

Welcome to RHIP ("we," "us," or "our"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the RHIP mobile application (the "App") and any related services. By creating an account or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not access or use the App.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years of age to create an account and use the App. By using the App, you represent and warrant that you are at least 16 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.

2. Description of Service

RHIP is a golf discovery, review, content, and community platform. The App provides the following features and services:

• Course Reviews: Discover and review golf courses from a database of 3,800+ US courses
• Equipment Reviews: Review golf equipment and browse the equipment catalog
• Content Curation: Access curated golf YouTube channels, videos, and podcasts
• Community Forum: Participate in discussions, voting, and polls
• AI Assistant: Use the AI-powered chat assistant for golf-related questions and insights
• RHIP Index: A review credibility score calculated based on your reviewing activity
• Playing Handicap: Log rounds, track your handicap trajectory, and compete with friends
• Direct Messaging: Communicate privately with other users
• Used Club Marketplace: Browse and list used golf equipment

3. User Accounts

Account Creation

To use certain features of the App, you must create an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to keep your account information updated.

Account Security

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

One Account Per Person

Each individual may maintain only one account. Creating multiple accounts to manipulate reviews, scores, or community features is prohibited and may result in termination of all associated accounts.

Account Types

RHIP offers the following account types:

• Standard Account: Available to all users for personal use
• Creator Account (Gold Badge): For verified golf content creators and influencers, providing additional platform features and verified status
• Brand Account (Blue Badge): For verified golf equipment brands and course operators, providing entity ownership and brand management features

Creator and Brand accounts are granted by invitation and subject to additional verification requirements.

4. User Content and Conduct

Ownership

You retain ownership of all content you submit to the App, including reviews, forum posts, comments, photos, and messages ("User Content"). By submitting User Content, you grant RHIP a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, reproduce, distribute, and modify your User Content in connection with operating and improving the App.

Content Standards

You agree not to submit User Content that:

• Is false, misleading, or intentionally deceptive
• Contains hate speech, harassment, threats, or bullying
• Is spam, advertising, or unauthorized commercial solicitation
• Infringes on any third party's intellectual property rights
• Contains illegal content or promotes illegal activities
• Is sexually explicit, obscene, or excessively violent
• Impersonates another person or entity
• Contains malware, viruses, or other harmful code

Content Moderation

We reserve the right to review, remove, or disable access to any User Content that violates these Terms or our community guidelines, at our sole discretion and without prior notice.

5. RHIP Index and Scoring

The RHIP Index is a review credibility score calculated algorithmically based on your reviewing activity, consistency, and engagement on the platform. Key aspects of the RHIP Index:

• Scores range from -5 to 25+, where lower scores indicate higher credibility (similar to a golf handicap)
• Your RHIP Index is publicly visible to other users
• Scores are calculated based on factors including review quantity, quality, recency, consistency, and community engagement
• RHIP reserves the right to adjust, modify, or recalibrate the scoring algorithm at any time without prior notice
• RHIP Index scores influence features such as community forum vote weighting

Score Manipulation

Any attempt to artificially manipulate your RHIP Index — including but not limited to submitting fraudulent reviews, creating multiple accounts, coordinating with others to inflate scores, or exploiting algorithm vulnerabilities — is strictly prohibited and may result in score reset, account suspension, or permanent termination.

6. Community Guidelines

When participating in the RHIP community, you agree to:

• Engage in respectful and constructive discourse
• Not engage in spam, excessive self-promotion, or advertising outside of designated areas
• Respect the opinions and reviews of other users, even when you disagree
• Report content that violates these Terms or community guidelines
• Accept that forum voting may be influenced by RHIP Index weighting

Violations of community guidelines may result in content removal, temporary suspension, or permanent account termination, at our sole discretion.

7. Intellectual Property

The RHIP name, logo, branding, design elements, and proprietary algorithms (including the RHIP Index calculation) are the property of RHIP and are protected by intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from RHIP branding without our express written permission.

Golf course data, AI-generated summaries, and curated content belong to their respective owners and are used under applicable licenses or fair use provisions.

8. AI Features Disclaimer

The App includes AI-powered features provided through third-party models, including Anthropic and Google Gemini. These features include the AI chat assistant, automated course summaries, equipment insights, and scorecard scanning.

AI-generated content is provided for informational and entertainment purposes only. It does not constitute professional advice (including but not limited to golf instruction, equipment fitting, or financial advice). RHIP is not responsible for the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of AI-generated output. You should independently verify any information provided by AI features before relying on it.

9. Disclaimers and Limitations of Liability

As-Is Basis

The App is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

No Warranty on User Content

We do not warrant the accuracy, reliability, or completeness of any user-generated reviews, ratings, or content. Decisions made based on user reviews (including course selection, equipment purchases, or other golf-related decisions) are made at your own risk.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, RHIP shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of or inability to use the App.

10. Termination

By You

You may delete your account at any time through the App's account settings or by contacting us at support@rhip.app. Upon deletion, your personal information will be removed in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

By Us

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without cause or notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms or engaged in conduct that is harmful to other users, the App, or RHIP.

Effect of Termination

Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases immediately. Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination (including, without limitation, ownership provisions, warranty disclaimers, and limitations of liability) shall survive.

11. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States. Any disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or the App shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association, rather than in court, except that either party may seek injunctive or equitable relief in court.

You agree that any arbitration shall be conducted on an individual basis and not as a class, consolidated, or representative action.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the updated Terms within the App, sending a notification through the App, or emailing you at the address associated with your account. The updated "Effective Date" at the top of this page will reflect when the changes were made.

Your continued use of the App after any changes to these Terms constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you must stop using the App and delete your account.
